Anitspam Bee Plugin

This is a third-party plugin used by this Service to reduce and monitor spam comments.  This is how Antispam Bee Plugin uses Personal Data.  This is not data collected by this Service.

Access to the back end of this website is password protected.

In order to issue subscribers a newsletter, certain information like name and email address is required.  This information is stored securely on the servers of our newsletter provider Mailchimp. You can read their privacy policy here.

Your access to and control over  your information

Beer and Croissants engages in an email newsletter program.  The emails requested to sign up for the newsletter are purely for communicating with you.  We engage in a double opt-in process at the beginning, ensuring you are fully in control of this sign-up process and no-one else can sign you up.  

There is also a captcha process, ensuring we are checking for legitimate email addresses and minimising spam.  Subscriptions via our newsletter service may also be opted out of at any time. Each email contains an unsubscribe option that immediately removes you from the database.  It is easy to find and easy to use and your right to unsubscribe is immediate.

Retention of Data

Beer and Croissants will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Beer and Croissants will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the Personal Data they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their Personal Data at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Information collected using Google Analytics is retained for 26 months.

Information submitted through forms, such as email forms are retained until such a time as the data subject chooses to unsubscribe or invokes their right under GDPR or CCPA to be forgotten. 

Data Rights

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
